wee bit's BACK!!

y'all. wee bit wednesday is back. 

{one} what’s the #1 most played song on your iPod (or whatever you use)? i LOVE ipod questions. my top tune on iTunes (since i don't really use my ipod) is "Until the Whole World Hears" by casting crowns. I actually think that's because Sergeant J and I share a computer but I do love that song. probably a more accurate representation is from my htc glacier, which is "Manifesto" by the city harmonic. i'm sure that's my favorite song to come around in a long time.   {two} what’s your favorite type of exercise? i do not love exercise. but if i had to pick... it would be weights. or swimming.
{three} what’s your least favorite mode of transportation? i love to fly, but i hate southwest. so they win.
{four} if you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be? i like my present age (27) but i'd pick a college age if i could be in college with all my friends. i could have done the semester/summer/semester schooling cycle with my pledge class and kappas forEVER.
{five} when you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you use it to do? my free time is usually stolen, so i do the laziest thing, most brain draining activity i can think of... frontierville.
{six} what do you miss the most about being a kid? i was initially inclined to agree with leigh ashley and say the lack of responsibility. but if i could keep the lack of responsibility and pair it with the grown up luxury of essentially doing what you want, i'd be in for a pretty lame life ... so i'm going to go ahead and say this: i miss breaks. summer breaks, fall breaks, spring breaks, christmas breaks, teacher work day breaks, ski week breaks... all of those breaks! who can't work for 5 weeks at a time before a big long break?!?!
{seven} when was the last time you were nervous? hm. i'm nervous every day when i pull into our driveway, that i'll have a litter of puppies on my couch! (yes.. gracie has a whelping area.. but ask me if i think she'll use it!). legitimate nervousness, though.. probably when we first moved on base and i never knew where i was going. i feared that i would make a wrong turn into a top secret testing facility haha.. i never have, don't worry.
{eight} what was the first thing you bough with your own money when you were young? this is lame... but press-on nails. lol... never failed.
{nine} what is your favorite month of the year? i love march of course, it's my birthday month, but i think my favorite month is november. i love the thanksgiving season and the beginning of the christmas holiday season! everyone's so nice and cheerful!
{ten} what are 3 songs from the soundtrack of your life? tough question. manifesto.. in christ alone.. and "that song in my head" by julianne hough lol.

what i'm (mostly) loving

hi y'all!! it's my FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK! my two favorite link ups, my friday at work, hump day for john... small group day.. just all good. what a busy couple of weeks we've had.  how's y'all day going?

i'm loving water aerobics. holy moly.. i went to a class here on base this morning (and this lady had on this exact cap.. i promise you) and it was so stinkin' fun. i'm sure i was the youngest there by at least 15 years but that's cool. i even got a little tan line (in case any of you are wondering... yes... i like to get a little sun kissed!) i think i am starting to like working out. maybe. or maybe not.

i'm loving my new swimsuit! sorry i've blogged about it like ten times, but it finally came in the mail and i love it! i don't think i've worn a legitimate swim suit in 20 years. literally. if you are a little bigger than small, i highly recommend this one. i have a terrible body shape and i feel like one sexy señorita in this suit. i'm getting a polka dot one next, and maybe even a red one!

i'm loving dresses! i'm on a total kick right now. i totally can't wait to get lots more -- i'm thinking of redoing my wardrobe to be more feminine. you should have seen john's face when he came home and i was in the kitchen...wearing a dress! here are the ones i can't stop wearing.

i'm loving gas prices (NOT!) i get it. they're going down. but only after they gauged our eyes out for the past few months. i get your game, oil industry -- run up the prices $1.15, then lower them $.15 so we feel like you're "trying" for us... so we're happy to pay a still-exorbitant price. you ain't foolin' me. and you're rude. and of course, i'm loving my precious husband and the big huge heart he has for the sophomore boys group he leads, and for our "son" in honduras. he is one of the greatest things to ever happen to me :))

{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?i LOVE cheese. manchego is my favorite right now. a well-aged parmigiano-reggiano is my favorite all time, probably.i tried a new one called red dragon recently.. it was amazing.
{four} do you remember your 1st grade teacher?i do. i don't remember her name, but she was an older lady with an older lady haircut.i have fond memories of her. sort of.
{five} who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?john. unless he's is the reason i'm having a bad day! haha.. then it's my momma. my sweet, precious momma.
{six} were you ever in a school talent show?hmm.. yes, a few. one stands out.. i was with my parents. me and my mom sang and my dad rapped. if you know my dad, that's hilarious. (he's a minister and very, VERY conservative!)he had a giant gold necklace on and everything. i thought it was cool at the time.. i even wore two different earrings.  but wow.. embarrassing!

{eight} can you open your eyes underwater?weird... i used to. i remember it distinctly. but now.. not so much. in fact, i was at the pool this morning and it was like..my eyes thought i was swimming in fire.. i'd blink like crazy every time i splashed too much haha

wednesday in a week that is flying.

do any of you feel like time is flying? typically, a few weeks after easter is not a busy time at church... but it's so busy! i feel like i'm running in one of those sad little wheels that hamsters get stuck in.

i've been thinking a lot about why i blog, and have come to the radically anti-climatic conclusion that i just like having a blog. it's nice to be known by people who don't really know you. more than that, it's nice just to unload your funny or hard days onto the web. so, in the spirit of blogging just because, here are my favorite memes of the week!

i'm loving that i am about to splurge on the cutest swimsuit ever. (i shared this before but i don't care!) i'm hoping to get it in black.

I hate those things. hump day!

YES. it's hump day. and i'm so happy.. it's my favorite day of the week! (i know i'm weird, but wednesdays have always been my favorite. they were late start days in high school, fun after school activities, small group/church, AND pretty much everything after today is the weekend. for me at least.)

also, it's my favorite linkup, what i'm loving wednesday.. which goes perfectly with my sunny outlook on life.

eins. it's my daddy's sweet birthday. so today i'm loving him out loud!

zwei. i am approximately 3 years behind, but i have found my new favorite website (even though it will never be updated again, i will have fun reading it for the next few days or weeks, i'm sure). stuffblackpeoplehate.com. you might not like it. you might find it offensive. i find it hilarious and mostly directly on point. he's vulgar. he's rude. he's brilliant.. i'm not recommending you go read it. i'm just saying i love it. a lot.


drei. i'm loving that i'm 81.25% done with sergeant J's first away training! i had a great time relaxing, but i miss him now.


vier. i am learning german! the numbers this week are courtesy of my lessons this week. i can only count to six haha... i LOVE rosetta stone! we've actually had access for a while, but i didn't have a working headset. but look out world.. i've figured out the proper mic settings and my headset is functioning! yesssss.


fünf. i'm loving some of my new and kind of edgy/controversial blog ideas. i'm feeling bolder than ever and can't wait to write about it all. you'll just have to come back and check me out, won't you?!
